Robert Alberti Obituary
ROBERT ROY ALBERTI
AGE: 60 HOWELL
Robert Roy Alberti, 60, of Howell, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Alberti was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and resided in Staten Island, N.Y. before moving to Howell 18 years ago. Mr. Alberti proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, as a HMC Corpman and he received the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Alberti was a communicant of St Veronica's Roman Catholic Church, Howell. Mr. Alberti was a shift supervisor for Starbucks in Neptune for the past five years. Mr. Alberti was vice president and a member of the Howell School Board.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Fay Alberti. He is survived by his wife, Diane Walker Alberti; and his daughters, Casey Lynn Alberti of Lebanon, Pa., and Emily Ryan Alberti of Howell.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753 or the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691, and would be greatly appreciated. We are so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. He was such a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face and was so proud of his children, Casey and Emily. Although we didn't see him that often, when we did, he treated us like we were best friends and we could talk for hours. I was Robert's first cousin Sam Alberti. Iam so sorry to hear of the passing of Robert my heart go's out to wife Diane and family. Robert and I lost touch in the last few years. I always thought of him and our friendship . He will be missed .

I worked with Bob for a few years at the election polls. We talked about many things.. mostly about his wonderful wife's cooking and his wonderful kids ..Emily & Casey. He always had such stories to tell us.Bob was always there to help us with explaining things to voters as they came in & he always brought us our Starbucks coffees. He will be missed at District #8. But Bob.. we're saving a seat for you anyway.

Bob was, in the very simplest of terms, a good man. A gentleman, when he served on the Howell Board of Ed, he was always a voice of reason; clearly cared about both the children, the staff, and the tax payer. I will miss runing into him around town. He will be rememberd in my prayers.
