To the Fitton Family,

On behalf of my family and I, I would like to send you our most sincere apologies about your recent loss.

To Mrs. Fitton:

My family and I only have the best of memories about you and your husband. You all were such great and genuine people. My mom and I were so fortunate to be surrounded by people as kind, compassionate, and welcoming as you all. You do not know how appreciative we were to encounter your family during my transition from Freehold to Red Bank. Mr. Fitton was truly a ray of sunlight in our lives and he will always be in our hearts.

And to Alex:

Although we were on the Red Bank together for a short amount of time, I've come to the conclusion that you are a genuine person and am expressing to you with deepest sincerity that I hope you find what you are looking. You're a wonderful, talented person you are immensely gifted in every way—academically, athletically, aesthetically, and so on. You are dedicated, humble, and driven—I don't know how you have the energy to be all that and still be so grounded. You are fantastically funny, witty, and intelligent—and for these qualities, I'm so happy to have had met and swam with you. Although I understand these are the toughest of times, I hope you remember that you do not deserve any less than that of your own standards; Hang in there and I hope you peak over the tallest of mountains. You're more than deserving.

Dear Dede and family,
So sorry to hear about Ed's accident and your loss. I cannot even imagine how difficult this week must have been and how hard the coming days, weeks, months will be. I always remember his parents being next door and your many visits to their house. And your most gracious invites to help us settle on SSI and get connected to SSUMC. You will always hold a special place in my heart. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. (I am still in the same house on Shore Rush Circle.) Dear Dede, You have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since I heard the awful news about Ed. Such a shame (an injustice, really) to lose the life of a good and caring person like Ed.
Gabriel has asked me to send his heartfelt condolences, and sympathy, to you and your family. He learned a lot working for Ed and is very grateful to him. It was a special time for all of us to share in a small part of your life.
Thinking of you and your family with sadness and sympathy, May God be with you all. Peg S.

Dear Dede, Geoff and family,

You are and always will be in our thoughts and prayers. Ed was an amazing friend and business man. His love of life, God and family was an example to all who were blessed enough to know him. His legacy will live on in our hearts, and in the lives of all those who live in the wonderful homes he created. The celebration of life service yesterday was beautiful and I am glad to have been there. We are proud to have been friends and partners with such a wonderful person. God Bless you and your family-

Dede and family,

I first knew Ed as a member of the Tower Hill Presbyterian Church (Red Bank, NJ) Friday Christian Men's Fellowship Group, where he always spoke of his love of you, the kids, and Jesus. Through that group he met Phil Carling, which resulted in the Fair Haven Road development project in the land sold to Ed and Craig by the Carlings. Subsequently, Jean and I purchased our current home in Thornbrooke. Ed was a wonderful Christian and business man. The Lord took him far too soon. We pray for God's Peace, for you and the kids, going forward.
