I will miss my good friend Bob. Through the years we became close friends. We frequently lunched together at the Yacht Club. Bob was a very good man.
May he rest in peace, Dick McGill.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have gotten to have breakfast with Dr. Maggs last Saturday. Despite only having known each other for a few months, our friendship was blossoming into something I treasured immensely. I hope to be able to deliver on all the items Dr. Maggs tasked me with accomplishing.

This man changed my life and I am forever in debt to him, and his children. I thank god daily for Mrs. Festa introducing him to me. He and his wife treated me as one of their own children and I can only hope to pay it forward. My only regret is that I didn't learn more from him. God Bless the family.

I met Dr. Bob Maggs through the Key Biscayne Historical group. He always took the time to listen to my ideas and then encouraged me onward. He had a powerful personality, and got things done! We will all miss him; but, we were also fortunate to have known him.

The sudden passing of Dr. Bob came as a shock to his breakfast pals at the Donut Gallery Diner on Key Biscayne. We shall miss his charm, sense of humor, stories, political opinions, financial commentary and travel adventures. We have all been blessed to know him and have him as part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, friends, Vicky and all of us that loved him. God bless.

Dear Marguerite, Marianne and the entire Maggs family,

Although I had only met your father a few times during the thirty years I was at the Amdur firm, I realized what a dynamic personality he possessed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know with your great strength and faith you will get through this very difficult time.

Fondly,

Our deepest sympathy to Bob's family and friends. We did not meet as often as we wished and had a date pending for a KBYC Sunday brunch à quatre together on our return. We shall miss Bob very much as will so many on KB and elsewhere - wherever his large personality and manifold activities reached. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

Bob was a dear person, who had a big heart and was a consummate civic leader. I remember many instances of Bob's kindness, wit, charm, directness, and his love of learning. His work with the Key Biscayne Historical and Heritage Society will be missed.

The last words I heard him say were at the Rotary Club meeting of January 6 when he started "Unacoustomed to public speaking as I am..." and then went on to give the Rotarians present a wonderful reading of deep thoughts, as always, with humor and great intelligence.

I will miss our chats, his kindness and his energy!

My prayers are with you, Dr. Bob, and with your dear family and friends.
