Robert Rathschmidt Obituary
AGE: 78 • Cream Ridge
Robert E. Rathschmidt, 78, of Cream Ridge, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Freehold before moving to Cream Ridge 11 years ago. He was a truck driver for Clayton Concrete, Freehold before his retirement in 1998. Mr. Rathschmidt was a member of Teamsters Local No. 469, Hazlet. He was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, New Egypt.
A son, T.J. Rathschmidt, died in 1972. Surviving are his wife, Diane Baillie Rathschmidt; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. Jr. and Kathy Rathschmidt; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Joseph Flynn; two sisters, Barbara Tortora and Patricia Burdge; his grandchildren, Rob Rathschmidt, Kelly Horner and her husband Erin, J.P. Flynn and his wife Linda, Thomas Flynn and Sara Flynn; and four great-grandchildren, Noah, Owen, Riley, and Logan.
The viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 11 at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.

I am so sorry... I think of you every year on this day, and I did today. Then found out the bad news. Hard to wish you birthday wishes when you are dealing with such a loss.
Love you, loved your dad, love your family. It is a hard loss to deal with, remember all the good times!
