ROUSEY, SR.
ROSELLE
Robert L. Rousey, Sr. (8 Ball Bob) passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Overlook Medical Center, Summit. Born in Perth Amboy, he had resided there before moving to Woodbridge and then Roselle. Before his retirement, he was employed by the Department of Human Services for the State of New Jersey as a police officer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a 3rd degree Black Belt in Karate, and an avid 8 and 9 ball pool player at PJ's Billiards in Linden and TAP Pool league.
Surviving are his daughters, Daina Rousey and her fiance Anthony Perkosky of East Brunswick, and Stacey Rousey of Roselle; his son, Robert L. Rousey Jr. and his wife Bianca of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Robert III and Tiffany; his sister, Dee Dee Rousey; his nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8pm at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville with private cremation to follow. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stacey's college fund.
