Robert N Sammer

AGE: 78 • Barnegat, NJ

Robert N. Sammer, 78, of Barnegat NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Born in the Bronx, NY he was a resident of Hillsborough NJ for most of his life before moving to Barnegat 11 years ago. Mr. Sammer was a former member of the Hillsborough Dukes, and a member of REACT (Radio Emergency Associated Communication Teams). Bob loved listening to music, especially classical. He also loved working during the holiday season for Memory Lane in Hillsborough where he would help set up the Dickens Village Tour.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Francis and Anne Sammer; his beloved wife Annette Gatto Sammer (2004); his brother Frank (2004), and his cherished grandson Khrystian Fuhrman (2008). Surviving are his dear son, Peter and his wife Angela Sammer of Boothwyn PA; Two loving daughters, Dawn and her husband Todd Fuhrman of Bethlehem PA ,and Robin and her husband Randy Behn of Flemington NJ, and eight cherished grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Saturday January 9, 2016 from 9:00 am- 11:00 am at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg NJ 08876.A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. Committal will be private.
