Rocco "Rocky" J. Foderaro

West Long Branch - Rocco "Rocky" J. Foderaro, 77, of West Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018.

Rocky is survived by his wife Joan of 54 years, son Troy and his wife Amy and his grandchildren Hailey and Ryan of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Rocky was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Rocky was a barber for over 60 years and for 40 years he proudly owned Rocky's Barber Shop in Red Bank. Rocky loved his work and cherished the thousands of friendships he built with his customers over the years. Rocky was a parishioner at St. Jerome's Church in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2- 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jerome's Church on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Rocky's memory to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736. Please visit Rocky's memorial website available at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com.

Joan my deepest condolences go out to you and Troy on the loss of Rocky.
I just learned today, May 18th, of Rocky's passing. It came as a very big shock and sadden me deeply.
Rocky began cutting my hair in the basement of my parents house on Spring Street, Red Bank, when he was still in barber school. From that day, until I moved to Virginia in 1998, he cut my hair.
I know that he is GREATLY missed by you, Troy and many many people.
Rocky is looking down at you from Heaven and making sure you are safe.

Dear Rocky....it's your Florida family, Linda, Ron and David writing.

I'm writing too mention two things
.
"Next"... how many times have you said this in your 60 years of barbering ...thousands I would say. Everyone of your customers probably said to themselves, " what a neat guy" you are...."Next".... this is what The Good Lord just said to you. I think The Good Lord said you have had enough of this pain and suffering so I want you to join me".

"Twenty two"... That's the day you left, January 22. Twenty two is our family code for " I love you".

Rocco cut my hair for the past 35 years. I'd characterize "Rocky" as a wonderful human being. He was always upbeat, attentive, and genuinely cared about you. Always asked what was new, or going on with you or family. He was extremely proud of his family,his wife, Troy, daughter-in-law, and always talked in glowing terms about his favorite people, his adoring grandchildren. Rocky will be terribly missed.
