Ruth Ingersoll Hundertpfund, 95, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Stratford, CT, and Belleville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 6, 2011 surrounded by her family. Ruth was the beloved wife of Carl who predeceased her in 1984. She is survived by her three daughters: Carol Clingempeel of Warrenton, VA, and her six step-children and fifteen step-grandchildren; Joyce Barrett and her husband, Joseph, of Interlaken, NJ, and their children, Jill Barrett and her son Andreas, and Lynn Moore and her husband, Louis, of Ramsey, NJ, and their children Caroline, Catherine, and Anthony; and Lynn Hundertpfund with whom she resided.

Ruth graduated from Belleville High School and attended Coleman College in Newark, NJ. She was a member of the Beta Chapter of Sigma Nu Beta Sorority and the Girl Mariners. She was a member of the Belleville Firemen's Auxiliary and was a past president of the Bay Head Shores Property Owners' Association Women's Auxiliary. Ruth lived a long and happy life. She will be remembered for her grace and style, sense of humor and fun, her devotion to her family, and loyalty to her friends, especially the women of the BHSPOA, and most especially her dear and longtime friend, Florence Cole, and her children.

Friends may call on Monday, May 9, 2011, from 4 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. Family and friends will meet at church for a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 10, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, 751 Main Avenue, Bay Head. Burial will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Wall, NJ.
