AGE: 91 • Manchester

Ruth Yurman, 91, of Manchester, passed away November 23, 2011 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Ruth was born in New York City, grew up in Bridgeport, CT and moved to Kearny, NJ as a teenager. She lived there for over 50 years before settling in

Manchester 25 years ago. She was a past member of Congregation B'nai Israel, Kearny and Ahavat Shalom, Lakewood. She is a current member of Congregation B'nai Israel, Toms River. Ruth worked as the Executive Secretary to the Rabbi at Congregation B'nai Israel, Kearny for over 20 years. She was past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Department of NJ Jewish War Veterans, Hudson County, and JWV Post #538.

Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Lois Yurrnan (1991). She is survived by her beloved husband Max of 71 years, her son Alan and his wife Nancy, of Lakewood, her brother Dr. Paul Lerner, of Franklin Twp., NJ, her sister Harriet Radin, of San Diego, CA, grandchild Louis, and three greatgrandchildren Jenna, Marissa, and Anthony.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Sunday November 27, 2011, at Congregation B'nai Israel 1488 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Donations in Ruth's memory directed to NJ Jewish War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary would be appreciated. Services have been entrusted to Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood.
