Thomas Stansfield Obituary
AGE: 86 • Hazlet
Thomas Holt Stansfield, Jr., 86, of Hazlet, NJ, and Myrtle Beach, SC, died on June 14, 2015 in Red Bank. He was born in Fall River, MA, and moved to Hazlet in 1960. Thomas worked for several insurance companies; as a booking agent for the Royal Wild West Circus and Clyde Beaty Cole Brothers Circus; a movie theater manager for Middletown Movies; and an attendant for John F. Pfleger Funeral Home and Laurel Funeral Home. He was a member of the Hazlet Township Recreation Commission, when it developed Veterans Park and the Hazlet Swim Club. He was also a past member of the Masons, Jaycees, Middletown Chamber of Commerce, Golden Age Club, and Holy Name Society at Holy Family Church. As a member of the National Theater Owners Association, he was one of the founders of Show East in Atlantic City.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary Beth Stansfield; grandson, Thomas Holt Stansfield, IV; daughter-in-law, Gail Johnson Stansfield; brother and sister-in-law Gilbert and Sheila Stansfield; and several close nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Stansfield, in 2011 and son, Thomas Holt Stansfield, III in 1999.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Friday, June 19, 2015 at 9:30 am at Holy Family Church, 727 Hwy. 36, Union Beach, NJ.

Our prayers are with Mary Beth and Tom's family & friends. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness. Tom has been a good friend for many years. Now he will be reunited with his beautiful wife, Betty. Tom, you will be able to share your terrible jokes with my Mom. God Bless you.

Please accept my sincere condolence in the loss of Mr. Stansfield. I remember him well as the owner/operator of the Town Movies in Middletown. He was such a nice man. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual peace shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace.
