Thomas Toth Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Toth

AGE: 46 • Rumson

Tom Toth, 46, of Rumson, passed away on Sunday, Aug 30, 2015, in Neptune. Tom was born in Syosset, New York and lived most of his life in New Jersey. He was a graduate of Penn State and was an Investment Banker with State Street Bank in Princeton.

Tom's real joy in life were his two young sons Ryan and Tyler. He spent most of his free time enjoying watching the boys play a variety of sports. He loved camping at night with them in scouting. He taught them how to ski and loved being in the ocean and going on roller coaster rides with them. He was an amazing Dad to his boys and a loving husband and son. Tom will be so missed by his family and everyone who loved him.

He was predeceased by his father, George Toth. Tom is survived by his wife of 15 years, Diane Dougherty Toth; his sons, Tyler and Ryan Toth; his brother, Jim Toth; his sister, Maureen Aronow and his mother, Frances Toth.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ryan and Tyler's College Fund, PO Box 8097, Red Bank, NJ 07701.

Really a saddening news. I've known Tom through the State Street Toastmasters Club. May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Toth family,
Tom was a member of the State Street Princeton Toastmaster. His first speech was about meeting his wife. We came away feeling how much he loved his wife and what a wonderful life he has with his family. My deepest condolences. He is a big loss to our little group, so I can only imagine the gigantic loss to your family. I will pray that you will continue to get the support you need to help you with the loss.

It was my pleasure to have worked with Tom not once while at Caxton but again at State Street. An individual of Toms character is not easily found. He is a friend that I will truly miss dearly.
