(Home News Tribune)

TODD R. "SCULLY" SCULL
AGE: 40 DOUGLASSVILLE, PA
Todd R. "Scully" Scull, 40, of Douglassville, PA, died on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the husband of Suzanne McCurry-Scull. Born in Edison, NJ, he was the son of Norman Scull and the late Brenda (Kitzler) Scull. Todd was a graduate of the J. P. Stevens High School in Edison, NJ and earned an Associates Degree in hotel and restaurant management from the Middlesex Community College. In 2004, he and his wife completed the construction and opened the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Royersford, PA. He was very hands on as an owner. This attitude also was true with his family, including his children's sports, as he would "unofficially" help with the soccer teams and wrestling team his son was involved with. He was passionate about biking and raced BMX bikes at the Trilogy Park. He was a member of St. Columbkill Church in Boyertown, PA.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father are one son, Killian Michael Scull at home; one daughter, Margaret Mary Scull at home; paternal grandmother, Anne Scull Turner of Union, NJ; father and mother in law, Michael T. and Barbara F. McCurry of West Haven, CT; one brother, Kevin Thomas Scull and his wife, Elaine of Piscataway, NJ; one sister, Laura Lee Bassano, wife of Joseph of Spotswood, NJ. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Columbkill Church, 200 Indian Springs Road, Boyertown, PA. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163. Todd, working for you over the past five years has been a blessing. You did an amazing job of turning a work environment into a place of comfortability, and a place that I'm sure many people can call a second home. I can't thank you enough for allowing me to have a job every break I was home from school, no questions asked. There are few people I know that have that kind of relationship with their employer. You never hesitated to ask how school was going, how the family was doing. You showed care and concern to your employees with our personal happenings aside from work, and it won't be forgotten. I'm praying that peace will be found during this sad time for you and your family. Rest in Peace Todd.

I was lucky enough to get to know Todd while working at TRH. After pursuing another career opportunity, Todd would smile, hug, and check up on me whenever I would come into Roadhouse to visit or eat. He always asked my other family members about me as well. He was a caring and loving man. A great leader and wonderful sense of humor. I will miss you Todd. You were an amazing person and Heaven has definitely gained an angel. To his Wife, Suzanne and Children, Margaret and Killian, May you hold tight to the memories of him for comfort and May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

Todd was a great man and a great teacher. He was there for my training every step of the way. He taught me so much. I will never forget him. My prayers go out to his wife and kids. Rest in peace Todd you were a true leader and your people love you.

Andy Cogswell

November 18, 2010

Todd was the very first person I met when I moved to Edison from PA in 1979. I was standing outside of my new house on Fred Place with my cat, waiting as the previous owners were just leaving the house with their dog and he came over and said hi. We were friends immediately. We could often be found "playing cars" with our Matchbox cars and our families were always socializing. We grew apart in later years, but it was really sad to read about what happened. A true loss. I only wish I could make it to his wake and I would drive the 2 hours for it, if I didn't have to attend a class to renew my certification for work, for which my future employment depends on it. :(

An amazing family and world lost someone dear. He was such an incredible person on so many levels, that it is hard to put into words how tragic this is. He was an amazing father, a wonderful husband, a true friend, a generous soul, a person people were drawn too. His humor and laugh are just a few things that will be missed by Joe and I, even his displaced love for the New Jersey Devils. Todd you'll never know how dear you are too so many people, and the devastation that is felt by so many. Be at peace knowing that your family is in all our hearts and will forever be part of our lives. We love you and miss you
