VINCENT A. GALDI
AGE: 84 SOMERSET
Vincent A Galdi, M.D., died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his residence. He was 84. Dr. Galdi was born in Salerno, Italy. He emigrated to the United States in 1956 moving to Westfield. Dr. Galdi received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Siena, Italy. He moved to Somerset in 1961. Dr Galdi was a communicant of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, Somerset. Dr. Galdi was a pathologist at St. Peter Medical Center, New Brunswick for many years prior to his retirement in 1994. Dr Galdi was an avid golfer. He was a member of the PGA National Golf Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Dr. Galdi was a member of the Middlebush Rod and Gun Club.
Dr Galdi is survived by his wife, Ada Galdi of Somerset; his son, Albert Galdi and his wife Marie of Somerset; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Lilah, Alanna, and Mariselle.
Relatives and friend may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20 at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21 from the funeral home, followed by a 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St Matthias R.C. Church, Somerset. Cremation will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
