WALLACE "WALLY" G. WEAVER, SR.
AGE: 63 WEST LONG BRANCH
Wallace "Wallly" G. Weaver, Sr., 63, of West Long Branch, lost his 30 year struggle with multiple sclerosis on Friday, March 6, 2009 at home. He was born in Long Branch and grew up in Eatontown and lived in Shrewsbury and Tinton Falls before moving here 6 months ago. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Eatontown for 32 years before retiring in 1995. He raced stock cars at Wall Stadium and New Egypt. He was an avid model car collector and a member of the Consumer Advisory Council of the Disabled.
He was predeceased by his parents, Adelbert and Emily May Martin Weaver and his sister, Adele Eckert in 2007. Surviving are his son, Wallace G. Weaver, Jr. and his wife Tina and grandson, Jack of Howell; daughter, Carey M. Weaver-Schwarz and her husband John and grandson, Julian of Oceanport; niece, Susan Eckert Luongo and her husband, Michael and great-nephews, Harrison and Max; and his companion of 20 years, Margaret Martelli of Shrewsbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. until his funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Consumer Advisory Council of the Disabled, 1 Harding Road, Freehold, NJ 07728. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected] and will be received by the family.

As a fan of racing at Wall Stadium I remember seeing him in competition and later as a member of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club. My sincere condolences.
