Antonio Chavez Obituary
Tony Chavez passed away on September 17, 2018 in Florida. He was born January 13, 1958 in Everett, Washington. He was the son of Antonio and Dolores Chavez. He became a resident of California in the late 1960's when his dad retired from the military.
In 2016, Tony and his wife Becky decided to fulfill his bucket list and travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Alabama, finally settling in Florida.
Tony was a graduate of Lindhurst High School in 1976.
Tony was an employee of Marysville Joint Unified School District for 10 years which he spent at Mary Covillaud Elementary school (his second family).
Anyone who knew Tony knew that he had a love for beauty and art. He would do anything for anyone and accepted everyone unconditionally. His smile was contagious and would brighten any gloomy day. Tony was a loving man to all, his family and faith were the world to him. He will be missed by us all.
Tony is survived by his wife Becky, son Jeremy West (Melanie), daughter Sarah Chavez-Wheeling (Billy), his mom Dolores Chavez, his brother, Paul Chavez and sister Frances Tune (Randy).~ He leaves behind nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and loving friends and co-workers.
Tony was preceded in death by his dad, Antonio Chavez, son, Ronald Gradney and grandson Nathan Chavez.
Tony's unselfish wish was to donate his body to science in hopes that it would help just one person with diabetes and kidney disease.
A memorial service for Tony will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, 5:00 pm at Bible Baptist Church, 2787 North Beale Road, Marysville CA. A reception will follow at the same location.
