Barbara Jean Bennett Setzer

Barbara Jean Bennett Setzer 84, of Marysville, CA, passed away August 13, 2010. Born January 21, 1926 in Fresno, CA. A resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 63 years. She was retired. Barabara was employed for Dr. Irwin in Fresno, CA from 1945-1946; Bradley's Dept. Store in Marysville, CA from 1948-51 and 1965-70; Kahn's Shoes in Marysville, CA from 1971-78; JCPenney in Linda, CA from 1978-80; Dr. Henry Giertych in Marysville, CA from 1980-2000. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Fresno, CA - Class of 1944; Fresno State College, Fresno, CA - attended one year, 1945; Yuba College, Marysville, CA - attended in 1979. Barbara was a member of Yuba City Women's Club where she held the position of Secretary-Treasurer; member of First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher and church office helper; a Pink Lady at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Survivors include ex-husband Warren Setzer of Yuba City, CA; daughter-in-law Linda Setzer of Eureka, MT; granddaughter Jean Setzer of North Carolina; grandson Mark Setzer of Eureka, MT; niece Mary Kilcoyne Tucker (Robin) & family of Madera, CA; nephew Kelly Kilcoyne (Melissa French) of San Mateo, CA; niece Kristy Kilcoyne McHaney (George) & family of Brentwood, TN; cousin Ken Bailey (Gaylene) & family of Volcano, CA. Preceded in death by her father William Earl Bennett of Fresno, CA; mother Ella May Bailey Bennett of Fresno, CA; stepfather Uell O. "Bud" Keown of Fresno, CA; sister Betty Jane Bennett Kilcoyne (Robert J.) of Fresno, CA; stepbrother Jay Russell Keown of Fresno, CA; infant daughter Sharon Setzer of Yuba City, CA; son Mark Warren Setzer of Yuba City, CA; special friend Eddie Kingsbury of Yuba City, CA. Public memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, 730 "D" Street, Marysville, CA, with Pastor Arthur Catterall as officiant.
