Charles Preus Obituary


Charles M. Preus was born December 16, 1935 in New Kensington, PA. He passed away December 13, 2016 with his loving family at his side. He was brought to the Yuba-Sutter area 50 years ago while serving the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the US Air Force after 23 years of service and began working at Water Works Manufacturing in Marysville until he retired.

Chuck loved to bowl and was on numerous leagues until last year. For the past 20 years, Chuck loved to travel to Shastina Golf Resort with his sons and friends every Father's Day for a week of fun and golf.

Chuck is survived by his sons, Charles M. Preus Jr. (Tara), James R. Preus (Donna) and daughter Lynda Cummings. He had 6 grandchildren, Janai McDole (Lee), Alicia Cummings, Alex Cummings, Jake Preus, Taylor Preus and Katie Jane Preus and 1 great grandchild, Jack Durbin.

Chuck is preceded in death by his mother, Justine Mudd and father George James Preus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel in Yuba City, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 am.
