Cindy Reese Obituary

Cindy Lynne (Birlem) Reese was born on August 28, 1957 in Watsonville, CA. She passed away on March 29, 2014.

Beloved mother, daughter and sister, Cindy is survived by her husband Andy Reese of Hallwood; parents Richard Birlem and Salena Birlem; sister Karen Birlem of Eagle Lake; daughter Jennifer Haggard and son-in-law Matt Haggard of Marysville; son Kyle Blanco of Reno, grandkids, Kyle, Matthew, Austin, Mikayla and Lilliana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cindy was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area for the past 23 years. She was in the health profession for over 30 years and never forgot a patient, a name, or a voice. Her heart knew no bounds, she loved everyone alike. All who met her, loved her and were drawn by her contagious smile. Her love of the outdoors from a young age from fishing, camping, both snowskiing and water skiing, and the swim team were passed down to her children and grandchildren. She could always be heard on the little league fields, telling her grandkids to "hit it where they're not"!

She never went anywhere without her camera and captured all of their sporting events with love and pride. After 5 years of battling cancer, she was able to pass away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Forever in our hearts, until we meet again....

Services will be held at the Marysville Veteran's Memorial Hall, 211 17th Street (at B Street) on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 am. Reception to immediately follow.

To say that Cindy was amazing, would be an understatement. Working with her for many, many years, was an honor. The patients loved her! She always had a smile for everyone. She loved her family with all her heart. She met challenges head-on. Even during her illness and treatments, she was optimistic and her cheery self. A true inspiration!! Cindy was one of kind. She will be forever missed by many. Please know that I am keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.
