Connie Coolidge Obituary
Constance "Connie" Caroline Coolidge (Faiferek), age 85, passed away on May 4, 2024, at her home in Lincoln, California.
A long-time resident of Loma Rica, CA, and then Yuba City, CA, Connie had lived in Lincoln, CA, for the last twenty years.
She was the oldest of nine children.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Coolidge; her daughter, Karen Lockhart; ten grandchildren, Candice Coolidge, Courtney Coolidge, Christian Coolidge, Megan Lockhart, Mackenzie Lockhart, Conrad Guidera, Caroline Guidera, Leeza Coolidge, Scaasi Guidera and Adrian Coolidge. ~She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Coolidge; and her former husband, Stanley A. Coolidge, Jr.
Born in Chicago, IL, on July 30, 1938, she was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She was raised in the Bay Area, moving to Los Angeles after college and then finally settling in Loma Rica, CA, to raise a family.
She worked in her early years as a Laboratory Technician and Phlebotomist as well as part-time later in life.
She ran her own business, C-5 Services, performing work for local attorneys and businesses and then eventually became a part-time Travel Agent for Destinations Travel in Yuba City. She also liked to work for the US Census.
She loved traveling and had visited close to 100 countries throughout her life, visiting six continents and almost all of the 50 states.
She enjoyed gardening, gourmet food and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was involved with many service clubs and organizations in the Yuba-Sutter area which includes; Yuba-Sutter Gourmet Group, Yuba-Sutter Gardening Club, Yuba-Sutter Little League Team Mom, Blue Jay Youth Group Leader, the Yuba-Sutter United Way, and participated heavily with her children's scouting troops.
She was an avid photographer and took several classes in photography at Yuba College and organized several photography trips to various countries.
Connie was proud to have served on the Yuba County Grand Jury in 1975.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lincoln Funeral Home.
A memorial will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Harvest Room, 1465 Tharp Road, Yuba City, CA., doors will open at 4:30 pm, with light appetizers and refreshments. Memorial Service will be held at 5 pm.
She will be buried in Lincoln Cemetery next to her son, Stephen.
