David Tartaglia Obituary

January 17, 1964 to July 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David John Tartaglia, who departed this life on July 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.

David was born on January 17, 1964, in Rochester, NY, and later made his home in Yuba City, CA.

David spent his career working in construction where he was respected for his skill and dedication. He owned Dave's Quality Painting for many years, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and craftsmanship.

He not only built homes during his years in construction, but also strong friendships with his coworkers and clients.

Throughout his life, David was known for his honesty, strength, kindness, and sense of humor. He was deeply loved by his friends, especially Cathy Roberts and Jeffrey Hodson and family and will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to those he cared about.

David is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marianne Tartaglia; and his sister, Christine Chamberlin.

He is survived by his former wife, Cheryl Tartaglia; step-son, Kaleb Crekbaum; daughter, Tristen Tartaglia; father, Rick Tartaglia; stepmother, Elisa Tartaglia; sisters, Pam Barret, Teri Tartaglia, and Katrina Tartaglia; brothers, Rich Tartaglia, John Tartaglia, Zac Tartaglia, and Joshua Tartaglia; and several grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held with close friends and family on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1 PM at Sycamore Ranch Campground and Park in Browns Valley, CA.

"Like a rock, like a tree, steady and free, you stood strong and true, and we'll always remember you."
