Donald Smart Obituary
Donald K. Smart, age 65, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on September 16, 2015. Donald was born on June 20, 1950 in Toronto, Canada and was a resident of Yuba City for four years. He worked at Colusa Casino Resort as the Director of Table Games.
Donald dedicated himself to youth development over the years coaching and managing numerous sports teams: Wexford Junior "A" hockey, Deseronto Minor Hockey, Belleville Minor Softball, Tyendinaga Minor Lacrosse, in addition he was an elected leader for five years with the Tyendinaga Mohawk Council.
Survivors include Deborah Smart (wife of 42 years); Thomas Smart (son) and Amanda Adams-Smart (wife) of Akwesasne, Quebec, Kevin Smart (son) and Amy Smart (wife) of Yuba City, CA; four grandchildren: Fisher Smart, Evin Smart (Yuba City), Ratsienhahiens Adams (Akwesasne, Quebec) and Myan Adams (Langley, B.C.); Nancy Hill (sister) and Chuck Hill (brother-in-law), Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Tim Smart (brother) and Bonnie Smart (sister-in-law), Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Ted Smart (brother) and Alice Smart (sister-in-law), Orillia, Ontario, George Smart (brother) and Carline Smart (sister-in- law), Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, as well as extended family: Diane and Don McCormick, Linda and Don Fallow, Donnie and JoAnne Linthwaite, plus many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: Kanatiio Adams (grandson), Paulette Smart (sister), Alberta Smart (mother) and Aurel Smart (father).
Services will be conducted on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be at the Chapel on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 12 Noon to 4:00 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel

Deb, Tommy, Amanda, Kevin, Amy and kids.
I'm lost for words to say to you guys. My heart is full right now as Don meant the world to me. Not only as a brother but as my best friend. We did a lot of fun things together, and the things that we had done always put smiles on our faces. From the early morning hockey games to the late night card games, playing music, golfing and spending time with our families, there was never a dull moment.
Don you were the best uncle to my boys Tyler and Jake who's hearts are heavy also.
Our hearts may be heavy but it gives me peace to know that you are once again with Mom, Dad and Polly.
I will never forget you!!
