Edna Hebert Obituary
Edna J. Hebert, 90, of Live Oak, CA, peacefully passed December 30, 2020.
Edna is survived by her children, Ed Hebert (Gail), and Marjie Hebert (Bassam Khalil); her brother, Dale Smith (Lauren); her grandchildren, Candice Sowden (Brian), and Eric Hebert (Jaimie), Colton and Patrick Smith; her great-grandchildren, Elena and Blake Sowden, Ethan and Jacob Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her beloved husband, Earl; her brothers, Tom, Jim, Ernie and Dean Smith; and her parents, Tom Sr. and Betty Smith.
Edna had a teaching career of 46 years. She taught primary grades and was Vice Principal at the old Bridge Street School and King Ave School.

Services are graveside at Live Oak Cemetery, 3545 Pennington Rd., Live Oak, CA, on January 14, 2021, at 11am.

Mrs. Hebert was my 1st grade teacher around 1967. I saw her only a handful of times after adulthood, but she lives forever in my heart as one of the kindest people and wonderful teachers I have ever known. Reading her obit, how funny that I didn't realize that her granddaughter was my son's teacher inn middle school!

Edna was my first grade teacher back at the old Bridge St School in 1971. I remember her as the sweetest person who cared about her students.
Then in 1997 I had the greatest opportunity to work in the same school with Edna as a colleague. She had never changed she was still the sweetest person that I remembered when I was her student.
I miss running into her at the store we always had a great conversation.
Edna is going to be dearly missed by so many.
