Gurjpal Singh Dhanoa

Gurjpal Singh Dhanoa left us on Friday, March 18th, roughly one year after his father, Bachitter Singh Dhanoa. He leaves behind his two children, Pavenpreet and Arjunpal; his sisters, Kuljit, Harjit, and Rajvinder; and his mother, Parkash; along with countless other loving family members. After coming from Hoshiarpur, India with his family as a young child, Gurjpal spent the remainder of his 41 years in Yuba City. There he left his indelible mark as a loving, loyal, perceptive and charismatic individual. His family was the center point of his existence, and he lived his life ensuring their happiness. He was very protective of any one he loved, and he was always willing to give himself to others, as his father had always taught. He lived with a zeal that enabled him to experience more in his short life than some would experience in a longer life. Although we are sad to see him go, we should celebrate his life with his thoughts and his memories. While his candle did not burn very long, it surely shined brightly. Services: Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2011 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel Yuba City, from 4:00 to 7:00P.M.. Prayer services will be conducted Tuesday March 22, 2011 at the chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Giani Pritam Singh, Tierra Buena Sikh Temple, officiating.
