Matthew Wheeler Obituary
April 5, 1953 - February 15, 2015
Matthew Wheeler, of Live Oak, CA, passed away on February 15, 2015. He was a life-long resident of the Yuba-Sutter area. He spent his last days at home surrounded with love from his family and friends.
He is a man with a big heart who touched many lives, and had an impact on everyone he met. He was a father to many. Matt is a life longer 49er' fan and loved Nascar, Dale Sr. & Jr. During his last months and many hospital stays, he was always wearing his 49er' gear. He will forever be loved and in our hearts.
Survivors include his wife Jeanette Wheeler of Live Oak, daughter Ginna Wheeler of Yuba City, son Christopher Lyon of Live Oak, daughter and son in-law Teresa and Shaan Folmer of Rocklin, son Matthew Wheeler of Gridley, son Kyle Lyon of Live Oak, PJ Hall of Live Oak, Katrina Phillips, grand kids; Zoey Wheeler, Dominic Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler, Tony Wheeler, Celina Lyon, Jason Hall, Avery Folmer, Lily Lyon and Dorty Wheeler.
He is preceded in death by his parents of Sutter, Merle and Teresa Wheeler, daughter in-law Lidia Lyon.
A Celebration of Life will be March 14, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Victory Chapel in Live Oak. Potluck to follow.

Matt went to school with my brother Stephen SmIth. He was 7 years older than me but always was friendly and treated me nice. I Didn't know he was sick, it wasn't that long ago that I saw him in live oak. He will be missed.

Matt was a great man. Growing up hanging out at his house with his son are some of my best memories. He always gave me a hard time, but that's how he was and that meant he really cared. My heart goes out to my second family the Wheeler/Lyon's, you know he's up in heaven giving everyone hell. See you when I get there big guy, lots of love.
