Maurine Adams Obituary
Maurine Elaine Bailey Adams, 85 of Yuba City, CA passed away February, 6, 2013 in Marysville.
Born January 4, 1928 in Pleasanton, Nebraska, she was a Yuba Sutter area resident since 1960. She was an Elementary School Teacher for 31 years, 25 of which were at King Ave. School in Yuba City.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Marcie and William Clay of Apple Valley and granddaughter, Taryn Clay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Orpha, and a brother Lennis Bailey.
She was a member of California Retired Teachers Association, Marysville Arts Club, American Association of University Women, Yuba City First United Methodist Church, Graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kerney. She also did her Post Graduate Work at University of Davis & Sacramento State. She was active with the Yuba City Senior Center, Red Hats and numerous Bridge Clubs.
Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Yuba City First United Methodist Church. Rev. Lois Black will be officiating. Interment will be in Cozad, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel, (530) 673-9542.

Maurine was one of the sweetest women on earth, we shared many delightful times playing bridge and luncheons with AAUW and CRTA. I will miss her uplifting good nature.
