Michael Hodges Obituary
July 29, 1951 - August 7, 2021
Mike was a lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area, a 1969 graduate of Marysville High School and a proud United States Air Force Veteran (1971-1975). His Air Force Career took him to Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska and Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Michael had many passions in his life including Giant's Baseball, 49er's Football, golf, flying, playing the drums and his long career as a commercial truck driver. He played with many bands over the years and in the 80's he had the great honor of being invited to play on the USO Tour which took him to Japan, Guam and the Philippines. In the 90's he had the opportunity of combining his love for driving and music when he was hired as the tour bus driver for Country Music Star Neal McCoy.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Horace and Faye Hodges. He is survived by his brother, Steven Hodges of Marysville, CA; his son Michael D. Hodges Jr (Debra) of Live Oak, CA; his daughter Jenette Hodges-Boley (David) of Live Oak, CA; granddaughters Emily, McKenna and Keeley of Live Oak, CA, grandsons Steven and Bryce of Live Oak, CA; and granddaughter Samantha Morrell of College Station, TX.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, 10am at Sierra View Mortuary. A potluck reception will be held immediately following at the American Legion Hall at 5477 Feather River Blvd.

I'm gonna miss my long friendship with Mike. So sorry this happened. R.I.P. my friend, we'll see each other soon!
