CHARLES S. MIDDLETON Charles S. Middleton was born January 20, 1943 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Cecil A. and Marie Barnes Middleton and passed away November 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Stan is survived by his wife Patty of the home; son Wade Middleton and his wife Angel of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Logan Middleton and Colin Rivera; granddaughter Haley Moellendorf; brother, Cecil "Bo" Middleton of Anacoca, LA; sister Wanda Maxine Schlau of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pete, Dawcett and Ronnie and a granddaughter Casey Rivera. He married Patricia Ann David on June 29, 1963 in Ardmore and they had been married for 62 years. Stan attended Mannsville and Ardmore High School, Murray State College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1974. Stan was active in various civic clubs during his lifetime, including the Ardmore Elks, Moose and Optimist Club. I was also active in coaching several levels of youth, men and women teams in softball, basketball and baseball. He was of the Protestant faith. He retired in 2005 as circulation director for the The Daily Ardmoreite, after 30 years of service with the newspaper. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, reading and gardening. He has an avid passion for horse racing was a devoted Oklahoma University football fan. He was a great lover of their pets. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. Robert Wilkens officiating.
