TERRY MICHAEL BENN Terry Michael Benn, age 74, passed away on September 8, 2025, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Terry was born and raised in Sulphur, Okla. on September 15, 1950, to Ralph Earl Benn and Modena Carmen (Slate) Benn Harris. He attended and graduated from Sulphur Schools. He came from Pauls Valley Homeland Store to Ardmore where he was produce manager for 15 years and then moved across the street to the present location. He was variety manager for awhile then moved to file maintenance for a total of 54 years. Terry marked his 50th year of union membership on August 31st. He was an active union member, working as shop steward at his store and serving on the UFCW local 1000 executive board for over 40 years. Terry married Mrs. Deana Abney Duncan on October 10, 2008. Terry loved going on vacation, going to the movie theater and getting out taking drives to see country and nature. He also loved watching football, especially OU. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Keven-Lark-Benn, and step-father, James Harris. Terry is survived by his wife, Deana Benn, children, Michael McCarty of Sulphur, Okla., Barbara Benn of Pauls Valley, Okla., Bill Benn of Pauls Valley, Okla., Katie Benn of Clarksville, Tennessee, step-daughter, Janice Benn of Tulsa, Okla., step-sons, Brian Duncan of Shawnee, Okla., Jamie Duncan, of Ardmore, Okla. and Jessie Duncan of Ardmore, Okla. Siblings, Locka Benn of Springer, Okla. and Alandra Pryor and husband, Kyle of Ardmore, Okla. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kyle Pryor, Bruce Baumgartle, Joe Glenn, David Benn, Chad Bradley, and Randy Webb. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, September 15, 2025, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest. Condolences may be left at www.griffinhillcrest.com.
