KERRY STONER Obituary

KERRY JACK STONER On February 15, 2025, Kerry was called home to Heaven. He was 65 years old. Kerry was raised in Standish by his parents, Elaine and former Mayor Jack Stoner. Kerry was defined by his faithful service to the Lord and brought many people to Jesus Christ. Kerry was very successful in his 45-year career, beginning as a utility lineman and rising swiftly into management. He loved music, golf, the beach, traveling, shooting his guns, and a good debate, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. Over the course of his life, Kerry read thousands of books, but his authority always came from Scripture. He tended to contemplate the deeper things of life and was an espoused Calvinist, an unashamed conservative, and a principled man. Kerry is survived by his wife, Lynette; his children, Justin (Sabrina) Stoner, Ryan Stoner, Jessica (David) Brugger, and Chad Stoner; his stepchildren, Micheal (Christina) Mikkola, Brent (Janaya) Mikkola, and Breann Galeano; his grandchildren, Jack, Hendrix, Nash, Kirsten, Jonathon, Easton, Christopher, Wyatt, Brooklyn, and Adeline; his sister, Lisa (Mike) Hinkley and many loving nieces and nephews. Kerry is preceded in death by his father, Jack Stoner; mother, Elaine Stoner; brother, David Stoner; sister, Cheryl Elliott, and granddaughter, Kadance Mikkola, with whom he is having a glorious reunion in Heaven. His family is holding a golf outing in his honor at Pine River Golf Course on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Tee time is at 9:00 a.m. for those golfing, followed by a luncheon in the clubhouse at 2:30 p.m. Anyone who wishes to celebrate Kerry's life or spend time with his family and friends is welcome.
