Bradley R. Johnson

Bradley R. Johnson, 30, of Sioux Falls passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in a one-vehicle accident near Irene, SD. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salem. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A prayer service will be held TODAY Tuesday at 7 pm at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem with family present from 6 - 8 pm.

Bradley Johnson was born to Donald and Diane (Heumiller) Johnson on September 7, 1983 in Sioux Falls. He grew up in the Sioux Falls area, where he attended and graduated from Lincoln High School. He was employed by Hy-Vee at the time of his death.

Brad loved cars and watching the races. He was a member of the Mustang Club. He also enjoyed four-wheeling and spending time with his family and friends. Brad participated in several events in the Special Olympics, including softball, basketball, and bowling.

Brad is survived by: his grandmother, Patricia Heumiller, of Salem; aunts and uncles, Earl (Carol) Johnson of Thaxton, MS, Judie (Larry) Howell of Watertown, SD, Keith Johnson of Hastings, MN, Rena (Dick) Hatfield of Burlington, IA, David (Lynn) Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD, Jerry (Lori) Heumiller of Salem, SD, Lynn (Randy) Dorale of Mitchell, SD, Doug Heumiller of Spencer, SD, Karen (David) Butler of Kingwood, TX, and Branda (Marvin) Johnson of Salem, SD; many cousins and friends; his Special Olympics family; Hy-Vee colleagues; and special friend, Bonnie Buum.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane, father, Donald, grandparents, Herbert Heumiller and Raymond and Gertrude Johnson, cousin, Scott Hatfield, and close friend, Cody Kollars.

Death is such a harsh visitor but it can be conquered by God. He promises no more death and that there is going to be a resurrection where we can welcome Bradley to a paradise restored earth. He will be missed but not forgotten.

I knew Brad from working at Sioux Falls Ford with his parents. He was such a kind soul and I LOVED hearing stories his mom would tell of him growing up! He will be missed by many yet I can only imagine the Heavenly reunion he got with his parents!
