Hadley Horn Obituary

Infant Hadley Ann Horn

Hadley Ann Horn was born January 25th, 2016 in Ann Arbor, MI at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. It was there that our sweet girl was cared for by the doctors and nurses of the pediatric cardiovascular unit. Hadley was born with a rare heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome which caused the left side of her heart to be severely under-developed. At 8 days old, Hadley had an open heart surgery to repair the blood flow through her heart. Although the repair went as planned, there were some underlying issues that could not be reversed. Ultimately, Hadley's little heart wasn't strong enough to supply her body. She passed away peacefully in her parents arms.

Hadley was survived by her parents, Justin and Amy (Burhenn) Horn, Brandon; brother, Callen Horn, Brandon; grandparents, Brian and Mary Horn, Sioux Falls; aunt, Tasha (Dan) West, Sioux Falls; grandparents, Peggy Burhenn (Mike Swenson), Brandon; aunts, Carrie (Jamie) Stolp, Sioux Falls; Nicole (James) Hallem, Sioux Falls; nine cousins and many other beloved family members.

Hadley is in the loving arms of her grandfather, Tim Burhenn, as well as her great grandfathers.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 South Main Avenue.
