SAUGERTIES- Daniel L. Klinkenberg, 85, of Louis Ave., died Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Benedictine Hospital. Born February 20, 1939 in Oregon he was the son of the late Lee and Ruth Klinkenberg. A veteran of the US Army, He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was a graduate of the College of Idaho, in Caldwell, ID where he majored in mathematics. He was a member of the Kingston Go Club and enjoyed spending his time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey, with whom he recently celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary, a daughter, Amy McClure of Saugerties, a son, Lee and his wife Toni Klinkenberg of MD. Three grandchildren: Daniel Klinkenberg of MD., Kyra and Emerald McClure both of Saugerties. His siblings: Katherine Freeman, Charles, Timothy and Philip Klinkenberg all of Oregn. He was predeceased by his sisters: Eva Mae Tucker and Nancy Klinkenberg.
His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery.
