January 11, 1991 - October 25, 2024
Kurtis Scott Haren, 33 of Oldtown, ID, formerly of Payette, ID passed away at his home Friday, October 25, 2024 after a short brave battle with cancer. He was born in Cottage Grove, OR on January 11, 1991 to Dennis and Pratrina Benson Haren. He was an inquisitive intelligent little boy and was asked to skip a grade in school when he was young. He went on to develop an interest in games and computers and after graduating from Newport high school in 2009, he attended Spokane community college, Spokane Falls community college and went on to attend Eastern Washington University where he received a bachelor of science degree in computer sciences. He had just started his business of personalized computer programming when he was diagnosed with cancer.
He is survived by his father, Dennis Haren of Ontario, OR; mother, Pratrina Carvell of Oldtown, ID; six brothers and sisters, Tara (Devon) Harvey of New Plymouth, ID, Kourtney Haren of Spokane, WA, Katie Cunningham of Spokane, WA, Jay Carvell, of Seattle, WA, Ryan (Taylor) Haren of Payette, ID, Alexander Carvell of Oldtown, ID; grandparents, George and Sherrie Benson of Oldtown, ID; two nieces, Quinn Harvey and Autumn Cunningham; a nephew, Liam Harvey; and numerous aunts and uncles He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Jeri Haren and his stepfather, Frank Carvell.
A Celebration of Kurtis' life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bonner Community Hospice.
