Larry Vaughn Obituary

Larry J. Vaughn, 87, passed away Feb. 19, 2026, at The Cottages in Weiser, Idaho. Larry was born June 5, 1938, in Kaysville, Utah. He married the love of his life, Marry Ann Miller, Feb. 15, 1958, in Fruitland, Idaho. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they lived many years and raised their two children, Brent and Tammy.
Larry worked hard for his family; he was gifted with great mechanical skills; he could fix anything. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic through the Operating Engineers Union. Larry and Mary Ann enjoyed traveling to car shows, and they enjoyed showing several cars--including a 1931 Model A Ford. Larry loved horses, and he owned many of them throughout his life. He also loved traveling the Little Britches Rodeo circuit with his children and grandchildren.
Larry and Mary Ann returned to Fruitland after retirement. Larry loved the outdoors; he enjoyed camping, fishing, and he especially loved hunting deer and elk. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family. Larry was kind, charitable, and welcoming to everyone, and he was completely devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.
Larry is survived by his sister Sue Bixby, of Fruitland; son Brent Vaughn (Jeannie), of Fruitland; daughter Tammy Hoff (Mike), of Las Vegas; five grandsons: Justin Kerner (Eli) of Payette; Cody Vaughn (Kena), of Fruitland; Clint Vaughn (Lauren), of Boise; Joseph Vaughn, of Fruitland; and Chad Hoff, of Cedar City, Utah; one granddaughter: Chelsea Todd (Donny), of Elko, Nevada; four great-grandsons: Logan, Grayson, Jacen, and Blake; and five great-granddaughters: Kamdyn, Paetyn, Jania, Khloe, and Norah.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Vaughn and Luella Cole, and his wife Mary Ann Vaughn.
Services will be held at a future date.
