Sam, Has gone on to the next place and leaves a legacy of many years in the schools and community as well as family.
I am a cousin through Miriam's side of the family and have many memories visiting Ohio and playing with my cousins. There were family reunions and then Carol came to Minnesota during her college years and has kept in touch. I enjoyed her being with me in Ireland in 2017. Precious is our time here. So many memories and the family time we share treasured. Comfort and Blessings to you as you celebrate Sam and a life well lived. Peace

I have fond may memories of Sam Henderson. I moved to Athens, OH my Junior year in high school. I had Mr. Henderson as my Geometry student teacher. He worked hard to help me better understand this subject. Little did I know my youngest brother, Loring would marry one of his daughters, Beth. After many years of me calling him "Mr. Henderson", he insisted I call him Sam.
He did a great job raising his family. My condolences, prayers and sympathy to the family.

Ellen, Beth, Carol, Joanne, and Tom,
What fond memories I have from hanging out at your home during my high school years. Your parents were wonderful to be around. Always happy and caring. My sincere sympathy to you all. I will always cherish these memories and give gratitude to the great education I received attending the Athens City Schools. Your father made a difference to all of us who graduated from AHS.

Henderson Family, Sorry to learn of Sam's passing. He was 5 years ahead of me in school but I remember him as a person I looked up to because of his athletic ability and his friendly demeanor to all. He was a very successful educator and admired by many. A great loss.
