Barbara Bledsoe Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Barbara Bruce Bledsoe, 92, a longtime resident of Atlanta died September 21, 2006. Daughter of the late Daniel Richmond and Bessie Harris Bruce she was a graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia. Mrs. Bledsoe taught home economics and retired from Briarcliff High School in DeKalb county. She was an active member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church where she served on the Board of Stewards, the Altar Guild and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Bledsoe Evans of Dacula, Betty and Mark Suiter of Suwanee; grandchildren, Natalie Evans, Corey Suiter; nephew, Lin McKinley of Mission Viejo, CA, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Private family graveside services will be held. Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 24th at 3 o'clock at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church with Dr. Don Harp officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Friendship Class of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30305.
