Signor Siepi was simply the greatest basso whoever lived. I had seen him in many operas and a concert. He was also a great gentleman. My sympathy to his wife and two children.

The great and outstanding Cesare Siepi has formed my entire life. I grew up listening to his records and had no greater interest than collecting every possible record I could possibly get.
I was lucky to shake his hand at the Vienna City Center in 1994.
May he rest in the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I was fortunate to see Mr Siepi when I was five years old at the old Metropolitan Opera house in 1955. His voice was perfect and a true artist. My condolences to the family, he will be missed.

Then to hear him in Don Giovoni and in concert was a special treat. He brought joy to thousands with his musical gifts and was adminired for his devotion to his family by those who had the privilege to kmow him. Sincere condolences to Louellan and family.

My condolences to the family. I have enjoyed Mr. Siepi's tremendous artistry for decades. He was such a polished and cultured musician and one of the finest voices of the twentieth century. There has been no singer to equal him since his retirement. I wish I had been able to visit with him in his last years, but it was not to be. Rest in peace, Mr. Siepi.

My condolences to the Siepi family over their loss. It was my great good fortune to have seen and heard Siepi many times from the 60s through the early 80s. He gave so much to the world of opera; may the many whose lives were forever changed by his contributions keep his memory and performances alive. None were more elegant; and none more commanding. For his matchless gifts, he was indeed a "Cesare"

Passar nelle tue tasche come in antri tranquilli filosofi e poeti. Ora che i giorni lieti fuggir, ti dico addio, fedele amico mio...addio, addio.
