Family-Placed Death Notice

CONNER, Claudette Claudette Conner 79, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Camellia Health and Rehab in Claxton. The Cherokee County native had lived in Atlanta for many years moving to Claxton several years ago. She was an administrative assistant for Metro Listing in Atlanta for 30 years, She was a loving, caring, mother, grandmother and a member of Four Mile Baptist Church in Ball Ground Georgia. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Maddox, Brothers, Donald, Edward and A.J. Darby. She is survived by, Husband, Fred Conner of St. Augustine, Florida Children, Melanie and Dale Salter of Claxton, Georgia Pam Kowalewicz of Snellville, Georgia Grandchildren, Jonathan Daniel, Sara Morris, Robin Salter, several nieces and nephews also survive. Private Funeral Services and Burial will be held at a later date. Remembrances to: Ogeechee Area Hospice P.O. I was so sad to hear of Claudette's passing. She was a mentor to me when I worked at MLS many years ago. I still think of all the good times we had at MLS and at Caroline's parties. Love Wanda Sorrells

Very sorry for your loss. Visited A. J. often in his store. Knew your Mother, Grandmother from years ago. Claude and Lula were good friends also. My Dad played Santa Claus at their home. I have that picture.
