I have known Craig for over 35 year when I met him at Morris Brown College. Our paths continued to cross as we both pursued careers with the Atlanta Police Department. He was always upbeat and joking. He never met a stranger and could talk his way out of just about anything. My heart is heavy and my prayers are with the family. He made his mark on the hearts of many and will be truely missed.

Dear Mrs. Muckle and family:

I wanted to share with you my deepest condolences to you and your family.

My mother, Ret. Sgt. Linda H. Philpott used to work alongside Sgt. Muckle in Zone 6 before she went to Zone 4.

I remember Sgt. Muckle as a very nice person. Whenever I was looking for Mommy, he would go out of his way to make sure that I found her.

I used to tease he and Mommy about uncanny physical resemblance they could be twins.

I remember Sgt. Muckle having a crowded desk of photos of you and the rest of his family. He would always have something to share about something funny something one of you did or said. He was so proud of his family.

I remember them getting along very well and always sharing a laugh. They were very disappointed that their work partnership was coming to an end, but remained in touch as colleagues and friends.

As a representative of my family to yours, I wanted to share my experience with Sgt. Muckle to let you know that he was well liked, and will be missed. Mommy is extremely saddened at the loss of her colleague and friend.

Please take comfort in knowing that The Most High will continue to keep you and care for you during your time of sorrow and beyond. Peace and Blessings Always, Tajhiek

My prayers are with the Muckle family during this time. I worked with Craig, since the early 1980's in Zone 4, he was always there with a handshake of friendship and a pat on the back, he was not afraid to try new avenues to get our job done, and he was there with you to accept the liabilities if it failed. Craig iniated the family BBQ in Zone 4 to help bring Officers and their families together. Craig was a very positive person and I will miss him greatly. He was a true friend.
