Grandpa, I will never forget whenever I rode in your Cadillac how I would slide around on those leather seats while cars were just honking away at you because you cut them off or were a little too far over in their lane. I also remember whenever we were together as a family that you always had to have your red wine and you asked us grand kids if we wanted to try some grape juice! As I got older, you'd still drink your "grape juice" even at restaurants but you wanted the "cheapest merlot" they had. I always loved to see you and grandma and looked forward to your Michigan visits. You were so lucky to have been able to travel so much. You would always find a deli nearby and get thinly sliced salami, provolone cheese, and Italian bread so we wouldn't have to worry too much about feeding you. I will always think about you when I buy my salami and always buy extra thin in your honor. You will be missed so much, but I will see you again one day and you can betcha I will join you for a glass of grape juice! Until then, you are always in my heart. I love you, grandpa!

Oh grandpa, you were such a ham! You always made us grandkids laugh and feel so loved. I'll never forget your intense love for dessert, like Jackie had mentioned in the Eulogy. It for sure is the strongest memory I'll always have of you. I remember always thinking when we were out to dinner with you, "Of course we're getting dessert!!! We're with Grandpa!" I also have a memory of you always telling people that I should be a model....and then you would proceed to turn my head at my chin and say, "LOOK AT THIS PROFILE!" It made me smile and still does today. I also have a vague memory but one I'd love to mention, of you being SO silly with us grandkids when we were super little. For instance, pulling our pants down when we'd walk by you! We thought it was so funny that it became a game. :) And of course all your silly faces and warm love you gave us grandkids. I'll miss you terribly grandpa but will NEVER forget you. XOXO

It was an honor and pleasure to have gotten to know Dan during his and Elsa's visits to Jackie's home in Telluride. I will miss the interseting conversations we shared and feeling just like I was part of his family. When I would be vacationing by myself in Atlanta, he and Elsa insisted on taking me out to dinner like I was one of their daughters. I will miss you.
Much love,
Debbie

I loved growing up with Jackie and staying over at their house when we were growing up. Dan was awesome when I was working in Atlanta and insisted on taking me to all of my work sites and filling me in on the history. What a fantastic family with Elsa and Dan always sharing everything with family and friends.
Our love to Elsa and the entire family. Love always Lisa and David xo
