My Big Sistser, be strong and be encouraged. Remember the good times and laugh and remember the bad times for then and now they come to make you strong. Most of all be faithful knowing that God has made a promise to us all. And that promise is that if we are faithful to him he will be faithful to us and allow us to join Him and our family members in heaven. I love you and I cherish you and I continue to pray for you.

Don Poole was a man of God who was gifted with his hands to create and build whatever a person could imagine. As I look around my house and see the many projects he assisted in, it gives me great joy to have known such a gifted man of God.

Betty, it is hard to believe that Don has gone home to be with the Lord. Everytime I use the beautiful trash can he made me, I think of him. Draw near to God, he knows your heart and HE WILL comfort you. We love you and are praying every day for you. Remember, Don is in Heaven with his Creator, the Almighty God!

Below is a song (hymn) that brought me comfort and gave me strength when I suffered a great loss. I hope it comforts you as well....

There’s balsam in fair Gilead;

This from God’s Word we hear.

It comfort brings to troubled hearts and helps grief disappear.

It soothes us when we’re sorely tried or deeply are distressed,

Or we have lost some loved dear one, who in death’s sleep does rest.

Just call to mind that God is love,

Is wise, almighty, true. Whate’er his providence now sends can work out well for you.

So on this God of comfort call

In frequent, earnest pray’r.

Pour out your soul; hold nothing back; tell him your ev’ry care.

And call to mind that many things,

Which long ago occurred, were written for our comfort, hope,

In God’s own holy Word.

And humbly, too, accept the aid

That brothers, wise, mature,

Would gladly, lovingly extend

To help you to endure.

And have you thought that others, too, Depress’d like you might be?

That many more are likewise tried

As to integrity?

Seek out such ones, and comfort them, and make their hearts to glow. In all such ways, the healing pow’r of Gilead’s balm you’ll know.

Betty,

Just to let you know that you are not alone. A mainstay in your life has been repositioned/not gone. The memory of what you have done, experienced and achieved together are constant reminders in the spirit that Don is still near you. As you make this adjustment to his physical absence-I pray your strength to endure-count it "all" joy that he(Don) had accepted Christ for himself and that is enough. Betty keep the faith and pray earnestly for direction as to where HE would have you go. This expression of sympathy is embraced the by the Hardeman,Avery family-as you and our sister Miriam have enjoyed a unique relationship over the years. You are in our prayers!!
