In memory of you, Eugene: thank you for being such a generous, good-humored third grandparent to Emma, Micah, and Graham--and to Pam and me, too. To us you were a great deal like the easygoing, uncomplaining grandfathers we had lost from our fathers' families; when you slipped so easily into Vaughn (and Johnston) Christmases and birthdays, it was almost like having them back. You never lost an opportunity to say kind things to us or the kids. We're grateful we knew you, grateful for Angie's sake for the son you raised, grateful you have some rest. God bless you.

Having known Gene for the last 6 yrs, he became a blessing to our family. We joyfully included him in our holiday celebrations. Gene was crazy about his grand kids, an they loved him a lot. He will be in our memories.
