It is with great sadness that we have just learned of Frank's passing. It was an honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to have known and worked with Frank. I never tired of his NASCAR stories. I shall think of him as I last saw him before I left in April. Every day I look for him and expect to see him...sitting, reading his tablet and shouting a greeting as he sees me. Our condolences to Robbie and his family.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news. Frank was indeed a very special person in so many ways. He always had a positive attitude about life's problems. He was caring and compassionate physician. He was a good teacher and hundreds of students benefited from his guidance. He was an excellent golf player but his knowledge about this game was so impressive. We played together last time about 4 months ago. Even at this last stage of his disease, he was interested in life had his friends.
I will miss you my fiend. May you be blessed in the hereafter.

Dr. Ewald you will always be missed. I enjoyed working with you for what...15 - 20 years. Always in a great mood and kind and caring to all! You were my go to person for all the new technological gadgets. What great times we had in hovering over the latest Palmpilot or one of the new Apples. Thanks for caring for our Veterans. You were one special guy. Saddle Oxfords and all. Our sincerest condolences to your family. It was obvious how much you loved them.

Frank was a dear friend for the 20 years that I have lived in Augusta and my longest standing golf buddy. Even when he was ill we still were able to get some golf in. Pam and I will miss him very much.

Dr. Ewald's service on the ABRC Board of Directors, as both Chair and Treasurer, will never be forgotten. I will forever appreciate all the support that he so often provided. I truly enjoyed all our conversations, including the ones about how he was drafted, his service in Vietnam, how he came to have all those unique ties, his famous photo, and all his trips to the lake and shore. My deepest sympathies to his family. He is deeply missed.

Dr. Ewald will indeed be missed. It was always an experience seeing Frank in the halls, clinic or the elevator. He was always interested in what was going on and what was going to happen. It was a pleasure working with Fank and I know he leaves a huge void that will not be filled at the VA.
