I love you, "older brother," and I miss you. May you be pain free and at peace. Thank you again for our good times and all your love and support. I don´t think you knew how much your friends and family love you, but you are important to all of us. Peace and love be with you.

So sad for all of the family, especially Cindy and Austin. To know Speed was to love him- such an interesting guy. I think they built the house around his bookshelves. And, he had read all of those books. Love to all and hoping that knowing people are sad with you is comforting.

As the college roommate of one of his sisters and a roommate of his other sister during my first job, Speed was always extremely kind to me. Do I remember correctly that he also had a biting and sarcastic sense of humor which was usually right on target? My sympathy is sincere for his wonderful wife, Cindy, and all his family members who supported him so fully during his long illness.

I met Speed while visiting my sister Barbara (Peter's wife). It is sad to lose interesting, and caring members of our society. Condolences to all who knew him. Sooz (Susan) and Mick (John) Todd

It is very difficult for me to imagine the world without "Speedo." He was such a big part of my life growing up. On my 12th birthday, he had a small dinner for me at his home and gave me a beautiful butterfly necklace, which I still have to this day. I remember that birthday, because he made me feel so special. I was always very proud to say he was my uncle. He also introduced me to The Roach family, and I made my long life best friend, Marchie Roach Surface. He was one of a kind. There will never be another Speed.
