Family-Placed Death Notice
ASKEW, Gerald A Celebration Service honoring the life of Mr. Gerald Askew of 338 Tarragon Way Atlanta, Georgia will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at New St. John Baptist Church, 1536 Hardee St., NE Atlanta, Georgia Rev. J. L. Henderson, pastor, officiating. Interment, Lincoln Cemetery. Remains will lie in repose from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Survivors are: mother, Priscilla Askew (Taylor Bellamy); fiancée, Ty'Erica Alexander; daughters, Maia Chiles and Michaela Chiles; aunts, Ola Mae Shumake, Gail Pearson and Nelly Askew; uncles, Walter Ford, Larry Ford and John Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends. Cousin Ola Mae, As our families continue to grow smaller the ones that remain your cousins, share your sorrow. You are in our thoughts and prayers. As a small child I can remember visiting cousin Leroy's (your family) home in Ellenwood. In Rex, Cousin GW's annual birthday feast. Much love was shared with family. Today we embrace that love.

May God bless, strengthen, and keep your family. I came to know Chicken Pic via my children. He was my grand daughters' God father (Breca). He had the biggest heart that I know of, if someone needed him he was there. Heaven must have been missing an angel. You will be missed Chick.
