Ms. Pullen was my son's teacher in the Talented and Gifted Program (TAG) at New Prospect. Harrison thought so highly of Ms. Pullen and said she made TAG fun every day. We have such a heavy heart in our family today because it was so apparent to us how much she loved her students and how much they loved her. Rest in Peace. Prayers for your family.

After having originally met Heather many years ago through National Board, I feel so fortunate that New Prospect brought us together again. What a talented and compassionate teacher the world has lost! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family through your time of mourning.

Rest in Peace Heather. You will be missed terribly. You have touched so many hearts, made so many children smile, and made a difference in so many people's lives. You always had a smile on your face, always been easy to talk to, easy to share a good laugh with, just an absolute sweetheart. Why we had to lose such a beautiful person will never be understood. You will forever be in our hearts. -

I lived 2 doors up from Heather in Pine Needles and remember playing games in the neighborhood as kids. We went to Roswell Elementary and rode the bus together. She was a great friend. She taught me about her religious beliefs and I told her about mine. She was so smart, funny, and always seemed to be happy. She will be missed. My prayers to her whole family. My parents send their prayers as well.

Heather, I only worked with you for two short years at NPE, but I would pass by you in the hallway often. You ALWAYsS had a smile on your face and friendly greeting. The student's loved being in your class, and spoke of you with so much affection. You will truly be missed. Education needs more teachers like you. May you rest in peace. I hope these small notes will help give brief moments of respite from the unbelievable loss they are going through.

When I think of Heather, I immediately think of a beautiful woman, inside and out. She was quick with a hug, her smile was radiant and warm, and her passion was evident to all. She made you feel special and important and we are forever graced by her heart and memory. I am hard-pressed to think of losing her far too early and It is a deep loss. I am blessed to have known her. I pray for great peace and comfort for her husband, children, and her family.

I am so sorry to hear about Heather's passing. I remember her from Roswell Elementary and when we rode the same bus. She was an amazing person and surely will be greatly missed by those whose heart she has touched.

We were blessed that 2 of our children were taught and greatly influenced by Mrs. Pullen. It was evident that her passion was to have them excel and feel genuinely loved. She always welcomed us with that infectious smile and a great big hug. Praying for God's comfort and peace as we celebrate her life.

Heather was an amazing, wonderful, and incredible person, teacher, and friend. I was lucky enough to teach fifth grade with her for eight years and have her as my sweet friend for ten years. Words cannot express how much I will miss her and I will always cherish all of my special memories with her. My heart goes out to her kind family, loving husband, and beautiful children. We are all better people for having had Heather as a part of our lives. All my love, Amanda Gallagher

I'm still trying to get my mind around how such a terrible thing can happen to such a wonderful person. Anyone who knew you and called you friend also knew there was nothing in the world you wouldn't do for them. I will forever remember and love your sweet spirit and never forget what you meant to not only me, but some many others.

There are no words to express the depth of our sorrow or the magnitude of what you meant to so many. Our memory of you will never fade. You will live on through the lives of Hadley and Owen and so many others who knew and loved you.

Heather was and will always be my son Tyler's favorite teacher. She taught him that school was fun and he would not be the great student he is today if he had not met her. Our family deeply feels the loss of this amazing woman.

Mrs Pullen, I feel like the lucikest Mom in the world. You brought joy to my son Mikey. You encouraged him and embraced him when he needed it the most. Thank you being a wonderful teacher and friend. You will be truly missed and always in our hearts.

I am terribly saddened by the loss of this wonder teacher. My son Danny, now a sophomore in college, was in her 5th grade class, and I was her room mom. I found (then) Ms. Silber to be patient, kind, loving, funny, and adored by her students. She was going to school at night at the time, but still made learning fun and challenging for those children. I was in awe of her stamina. Sleep well, Ms. Pullen, my family is blessed to have had you in our lives. I will keep your family in my prayers.

February 12, 2013

Through all of this sadness, I can see Heather's smile and feel her love. I wish this for all of her friends and family - love and peace. She was the perfect model of this, and with that fantastic smile!

Love,

I was so very lucky to get to spend quality time with such a warm, welcoming, funny, and insightful person. I have come across very few people in my life that I could place immediate and complete trust- Heather was sincere and authentic. My life has been made much more complete by being able to spend time with Heather....I love and miss her very much!
