Jim, we are beyond shocked and saddened by your family's tragic loss. While we did not have the privilege of meeting Jake, our father spoke so highly of him. He told us how much he enjoyed having Jake along on your hikes. We hope that you and your family are able to find some small measure of comfort in knowing that Jake contributed so much in his short life in the service of his country and for the benefit of all of us. Our deepest sympathies. Allie, Julie and Sarah

In this season where words ring empty and life seems dim, please know you're in the thoughts and prayers of a stranger who firmly believes Jacob is in the glorious land of Heaven, and with God and Jesus. Peace to you all and appreciation and gratitude for his service.
