Loren, Leah and Family,
I was so sorry to learn of Janis' death. We had such a good visit with all the EHS girls last summer when I was home. When I think of Janis, I always picture the little girl with the big bow in her hair in our kindergarten picture. I have read all the other entries in this special guest book and you should always be so proud of the testimonies others have given for her life. What a special person and friend she was. We will all miss her.

Loren & Leah,

Our sympathy goes to you in this trying time. I am so thankful to have renewed the friendship with your mother over the past few years with our gathering of the East Atlanta High School girls from the class of l965. I am so thrilled that she was able to join us in January at my house. She brought us to laughter many times with her stories. Many thanks go to Carolyn Harris for bringing Janis to us. We will miss her, but know she is in better hands now.

I hope it helps to know how much everyone thought of your mother.

Dear Leah and Loren -
My heart has been heavy ever since hearing about your mom. She was like a second mom to me for many years. I have so many wonderful memories of her. She was always so loving, caring and giving of herself. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Loren and Leah,
Our thoughts are with you and our hearts are heavy for you. I pray you will sense the loving arms of our Savior wrapped around you as He has promised to be "close to the brokenhearted" Ps.34:18. We rejoice for your mom and the magnificient celebration she is having, face to face with Jesus Christ!! She was truly a conduit of God's love in my childhood. Even in the midst of her own challenges, she never failed to express joy, kindness, thoughtfulness and love to others.

Loren and Leah,
My heart is heavy this morning upon learning of your mother's death. She has been a dear friend of mine for over 30 years (Loren, you were just a baby when we became neighbors in Tucker). She was a loving mom, talented, beautiful, and most of all, loved God. What a sweet spirit she had. I last spoke with her about 6 weeks ago, and I will always treasure that conversation. I pray for God's loving arms to wrap around both of you girls and her grandchildren and give you all peace and comfort during this difficult time.
With love and blessings,

Leah, Loren, Bobby ( and family) -

Janis was/ and is one of those angels from above ,with a kind heart and a fantastic sense of humor. ( whenever it was needed.) I believe she is up on heaven watching down on all of us, and not in pain anymore. She will definetely be missed, and never be forgotten. Thinking of you guys.

Dear Bobby, Loren and Leah, Caroline and Will,
Your mom (and grandma) was an instrument of God's encouragement in Mike's and my life. Never complaining, always praising, she shines as a light in this dark world (Ph. 2:14-18). I am filled with joy in knowing that she is now with her Savior, able to praise Him without any sickness or disability. How precious Her Savior is to her. I grieve with you in your loss of such a godly mother. I know you will miss her. We will too.
Love in Christ, Mike and Kim(Borck)Pollard

Loren, Leah and Bobby,

There aren't words that can adequately capture what an amazing creature I saw your mom to be. Kindness, humor and talent characterized her. It was such a privilege to count her as a friend. For so many years after growing up and leaving home I was able to keep up with the going-ons in your lives... and all the latest jokes... by having mom recount their lengthy conversations back to me. Your entire family has been dear to ours for so many years, and we are hurting with you over this loss.

We also cherish and anticipate the promise of a reunion with your mom someday. I can't help but smile at the thought of she and Aunt June visiting together now. Don't you know there is mirth in heaven with the two of them together!?

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Loren and Leah, Jim and I were very sad to hear about the loss of your mother. Janis was such an amazing person. Our friendship goes back over 20 years to the days in The Forest. I have never met any one with such an upbeat view of life. I never heard her complain about any of the health problems she suffered in her life. Her faith was a gift she lived and shared. She was a friend Jim and I will never forget! Our sympathy and prayers are with you and your families at this very difficult time. Love, Jim and Margaret Culkar

I want to thank everyone for all the prayers and support for us during this hard time. Mom touched so many people in her life and loved with no boundaries. She was such an AMAZING mom and friend. As much as I miss her and want her here, I am happy that she can now dance again and paint the sky for all of us. I love you all!

Loren, Bobby, Leah -- I am so sorry, shocked and so sad. What a terrific loss for everyone who knew her. I'm glad that she now has a gloriously restored body. I have such incredibly wonderful memories of firsting meeting Janis when they were building the house across the street and in all the great times we had together in The Forest when you children were young. What a very special, beautiful lady. May she rest in peace. I pray God's comfort will sustain you during this time.
