I'm sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He meant a lot to me in so many ways. I wish the years and miles had never separated us from our days at ITT. He was a mentor and a friend. Rest in peace, Jerry.

Jerry was an authentic leader, who created lasting value in people’s lives. He created an environment for people to be excited about and he empowered them with his heart. My deepest regrets to his family.

Jerry is a gentleman; a mix of courage, kindness and integrity that lifted others through his example. Because he was kind, others were kinder. Because he reached out and was a friend, others were friendlier. In his quiet, generous way he taught and helped so many, including me. I will always be grateful. May God continue to bless your family as He has blessed our lives through Jerry's life.

I was sorry to hear about Jerry (Mr. Britton) I worked for Jerry in St. Louis, MO since Green Tree in 1995. When he would come to St. Louis I would always call him Mr. Britton and he said "thats my Dad, call me Jerry"

I respected Jerry, what a shame. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Jerry had a strong influence on my life. He opened doors and gave opportunity for so many of us to excel. He created the environment and allowed the individuals to succeed or fail. When you failed, he'd be there to back you...allowing yourself to re-establish.
His vision and philosophy touched so many people and entrepreneurs; many will never realize what they owe to his beliefs.
I still clearly hear his words that we are in business to enable people and small businesses realize their dreams.
He had a unique way of seeing the broad vision but caring for the individuals and teams who were with him.
I feel blessed and thankful every day for the opportunity to know Jerry. I will miss him.

To my love, may you always know you are in my heart and soul. Words cannot even touch the surface. Our family is coping the best that we can. You were our rock, foundation and glue that held us together. You were the most wonderful husband and lover, manificient father and a wonderful grandfather. You will be missed beyond believe. But know you will never be forgotten. All our love forever and always. Until we meet again. I Love You. Me

Like many, I was saddened to learn of Jerry's passing..Jerry and I enlisted in the Army National Guard the same time and trained at Ft. Campbell..Jerry was my platoon leader and I looked up to him. I always remembered him as the guy who always had something to smile about and was sooo smooth. My condolences go to Jerry's wife, children, and parents...his dad Max cut my hair when I was growing up as a child in Memphis...very happy memories. Jerry will be missed.

I haven't seen Jerry in quite a few years, since our old basketball days at KHS. have such great memories of him and know that his family is devastated by this sudden loss. Prayers go out to them and just letting them know that everyone who knew Jerry loved him and his loss is felt by so many of us that had the honor of calling him friend. May God keep you in His loving arms and comfort you during this difficult loss.

I will miss Jerry deeply. Jerry was a huge inspiration for my career and I learned a tremendous amount from him. Jerry was so successful in his life and career by surrounding himself with great people and taking care of them. In both business and personal decisions I have constantly asked myself “what would Jerry do” as I look for the best choice to make. I will continue to ask that question for key decisions but deeply miss having the privilege of asking Jerry directly for his advice.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the greatest man I have ever worked with. Jerry was so happy the last day I saw him in the office, he said he was going to babysit the newest grandchild. He was the most caring person that I have ever met and will truely be missed. He was someone that if he said he was take care of it - it was always taken care of. He really loved his family and friends.
