I was just in Lilburn over new years and drove thru the old Lions Club Park and Arendell Acres on Dec 31st. I had a lot of memories comeback of the times we hung out, went swimming, played football and how Jimmy and Johnny were always good guys to be around. I have not seen or spoke with Jimmy since High School days so I was saddened to hear of his passing the day after I had just remembered some good times we had back in the good ol care free days. When I heard of his passing memories came back like the time we were riding bikes as kids and I wrecked and got the wind knocked out of me and as I was laying on my back looking up at the sky trying to suck air back into my lungs, I remember it was Jimmy who came over on his cool orange Yamaha bike and looked down and asked if I was OK. Finally I got my breath and said yes, he was the only one that actually made sure I was good to go. That was Jimmy for you. He was a great wide receiver with great hands and concentration. Even though we move on through life and lose contact over time, good memories of good people always live on. I know he will be missed as a son, husband, father, uncle, brother and buddy. My prayers are with you.

Just want to express my sorrow to the passing of Jimmy. I had the privilege of coaching Jimmy at Berkmar in the early 80's. I remember him as being a hard worker and always having a great attitude. From some of the other posts that his friends have made, I can see that he was an outstanding person who will be greatly missed by his friends and family. My prayers are for you to hold on to the memories and rest in the fact that he is resting in the hands of God.

Jimmy Jay, I want to thank you for the pleasure of being my friend. Your passing has sadden all of us. I must say that it was one of the most beautiful moments that I have ever experienced being there with your family and celebrating your life and singing Amazing Grace. You and Terri did well by your boys. They are two of the most polite and caring young men I've ever met. Look down on us and keep us all safe. Love you, Patti xoxo
